The selective separation and screening of materials directly on site is an issue that increasingly involves operators in the earthmoving sector and opens up new scenarios and market developments. Treating waste materials directly on the field, where possible, conveys numerous benefits, especially in terms of saving time and money, the combination on which all construction site dynamics revolve. Simex, analyzing its target market, has decided to invest in the expansion and improvement of its line of screening buckets.

And for this reason, the excavator range has expanded… shrinking!

Two new models have been introduced, for mini and midi excavators. We are talking about the VSE 2 for the 1.5-3.5 t range and the VSE 5 for the 4-8 t range. They are designed specifically for the landscaping sector, for the maintenance of green areas, for gardening and, in general, for all small urban construction sites, where, due to limited maneuvering space, the overall dimensions must be reduced to a minimum. It is thus possible to screen, reduce, reclaim and aerate vegetal waste and topsoil with a single bucket, accelerating the composting phase and produce a screening material of an ideal size for the restoration of green areas.

The goal is to safeguard all those "precious" materials that can be recovered and reused directly on site, or transported easily outside. In the case of demolition waste, the requalification of the material present on site allows to significantly reduce disposal costs and to cut those related to the purchase and transport of new raw material. On the other hand, when recovering topsoil, with an adequate screening work, it can be cleaned from stones, roots and debris, effectively disposing of only the resulting part. Reclaimed soil - cleaned of debris thanks to Simex screening buckets - is immediately usable and of a suitable grain size for subsequent planting.

The two models are added to the four already present in the Simex VSE line, now covering the entire weight range from 1.5 to 45 tons. The smallest models in the range do not employ rapid output size adjustment but benefit from high-performance screening tools, made of different-sized disks, available in various configurations, depending on the application field. The VSE 5 model also benefits from the patented FIT tool system, which are modular and interchangeable tools to make maintenance and replacement of screening elements easier, thanks to interlocking discs with no welding. This means saving up to 75% in maintenance costs if compared to previous system.

Simex reaffirms its willingness to invest in the field of waste material screening and recovery, aware of the growing impact that it may have in the earthmoving sector from a sustainable and circular perspective.

These models will be previewed at Bauma Munich, 24-30 October, at the Simex stand n° 325, hall C5.
